In August 2021 the Deen Centre’s strategic group agreed to create a voluntary Education Group, in order to focus, direct and develop the various educational activities and potential of the centre. Several local teachers and Deen Centre members were invited to attend the inaugural meeting in September and from this several projects rapidly took shape.

Together, the WDC Education Group aims to:

  • promote and celebrate our common identity through education
  • build links with local schools and Governing Bodies
  • develop a centre of local community and support for families and young people
  • promote a positive view of Islam through teamwork, partnership and community action
